UPDATE March 11, 2023:

The first photo here has been identified as a member of the Conley family, Savilla Imogene Conley Davis.

This page contains unidentified photographs that were part of several albums belonging to Sarah Dibble Conley. Sarah was a daughter of Alonzo Dibble of Stanton Township, Goodhue County, Minnesota. Alonzo came to Minnesota from Switzerland County, Indiana, with his brother Jonathan, in 1854.

Among the identified photos in Sarah's albums are Dibbles from both Goodhue County, Minnesota and Switzerland County, Indiana; Searcys, Smiths and Powells from Switzerland County; Conleys from Minnesota and Iowa; Kowitzes from Goodhue County; Ahlers from Goodhue County and the Dakotas; Chapmans from Redwood Falls, MN; and members of many related families.

So I assume that we have many more people from those families here. These photos appear in close to the same order in which Sarah placed them in her albums, so photos that are near to each other in the sequence may come from the same family, but that, and in some cases, the locations where the photos were taken, are about the only clues we have.

There are lot of photos on this page. Some browsers on some computers may have difficulty displaying all of them at once. Please refresh your browser as necessary to bring them into view. I apologize for this problem. This is a temporary display, intended to stay up only as long as it takes for people look over these photos and respond. I didn't want to take the necessary time to reduce the size of all of these image files. Thank you for your patience.

I am distributing links to this page to as many individuals and groups that I can think of in the hope that people can identify some of these photos.

Please send any information or thoughts you may have to:
